Skills Required for Good Chartered Accountant


The minimum eligibility to be a Chartered Accountant (CA) is 10+2 in any stream.
The fundamental qualities required to become a chartered accountant are:
Inclination as well as ability to work with numbers:  Chartered accountancy is about managing accountancy with good mathematical and numerical skills.
Ability to communicate complex financial issue lucidly:  It involves explaining the tedious concepts of accountancy in a simpler way will help the client to take assertive decision about monetary funds.
Problem solving as well as analytical skills: Chartered accountants should be in a better position to analyze and figure it out the client’s problem and further suggest practical solutions.
Ability to build a professional relationship with the client:  A healthy rapport enables the client to build trust and confidence in chartered accountant’s work and decisions.
Ability to write financial reports at the same time to have an eye for detail: 
For a good CA, writing and validating a good financial report is a crucial part in order to draw certain conclusions. This is possible only when the CA has an eye for detail.
Have sound judgment and decision making skills: An ability to make sound judgment helps in taking decision in a better way.
Ability to convey recommendation both accurately and clearly: A client comes with a hope of minimizing his confusion and arriving at valid conclusion. It is the duty of the CA to guide the client in an effective manner.
